About the Author

Ann Elizabeth Butler grew up in Endicott, New York, with her parents and three brothers. She studied Economics at the University of Notre Dame, spending time abroad in France and Belgium, before beginning a 27-year career as an undercover CIA Operations Officer. Alongside her high-stakes work, she earned an MBA, married Joseph Potak, and raised five children, frequently moving around the world for her mission. In her memoir, Wife, Mother, Spy, she shares the challenges and rewards of balancing family life with a career in espionage, proving its possible to have it all.
